The Wayward Artist is in search of four BIPOC artists interested in contributing to programming for our virtual season of Wayward Voices. We are looking for stories that are created for and in celebration of the many BIPOC and QTBIPOC communities. Stories that translate on video, Zoom/Streamyard, social media, or any non-traditional medium are of high interest to us.

$1000 stipends are available to each of the selected projects. The Wayward Artist will collaborate in terms of calendar, creative teams, marketing, and production needs. Interested parties must submit a proposal by November 15th, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. PT. Any submissions received after the deadline will be considered for the 2022 season.

Proposals should include synopsis of project, production needs, and purpose. Storytelling continues to remain important, especially in this COVID-19 pandemic. We are incredibly excited about new artists with innovative and imaginative ways of creating.

How do we make art during this time?

What stories are important to tell?

How do we tell them?

Let’s find out together.
